Artist Image Identity Brainstorm

In class, we presented our finished music video 'popcorn' boy to our class mates to gather ideas for our artists identity. We brainstormed the feedback we received and will incorporate these ideas into our digi - pack.
The ideas that stand out to me are the bold primary colours and the american high school theme as it helps relate and suit Antigoni's target audience

Lip syncing

Before attempting to lip sync, we had a tutorial on how to use final cut express and get the perfect timing for lip syncing. We used old footage to practice on so we could be prepared to edit and cut on our own. The key element to lip syncing was to place markers on the audio and visual clip and match them together.

Editing; Transitions

Christy and I watched our rough cut and discussed a number of things we could include to make our music video stand out. We experimented with different transitions, slides and wipes which made the video more capturing and interesting while watching it back. These are a few transitions we chose which we though were appropriate or our video:

Rough Cut

Christy and I have now developed a rough cut of our music video using the footage we have. It has helped us get together all the good shots we want to use and highlight areas we think could improve. There for we are going to film again this week, and weekend to gather more close ups of antigoni and the 'popcorn boy', and shots of the motif; popcorn

Changing actors..

Christy and I have had an unfortunate week as our artist has let us down twice for the dates we scheduled to meet and film the music video. We are trying to look for an alternative person to act as the lead singer and hopefully step in for us. We are lucky to have a strong drama department at school where girls wouldn't mind helping us out.

Finding the 'popcorn boy'

Christy and I have contacted a local theatre school Susi Earnshaw to ask if they would have an actor that wouldn't mind taking part in our music video as the 'popcorn boy'. We have also been asking around; family and friends but we are finding it quite difficult to find someone who is willing to take part in the filming.
